Privacy Policy — NúmerosPT

NúmerosPT is a European Portuguese number-practice app for iOS and Android, published by Jamminalley. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

NúmerosPT has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. We cannot see your practice history, your settings or your recordings, because they are never sent to us.

What the app stores

All of it lives on your device, in the standard per-app storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android):

• Practice history — a timestamped log of each attempt: which section (numbers, dates, prices…), which mode, and whether you got it right. This is what the Stats screen reads.
• Your settings — audio speed, voice choice, per-section options (year ranges, price ceilings, which address elements are active), and your daily reminder time.

Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no backup on our side and nothing to restore.

What the app does not collect

• No name, email address, phone number or account of any kind.
• No advertising identifiers, and no advertising.
• No analytics, crash reporting or usage telemetry SDKs.
• No location data.
• No contacts, photos or files.

NúmerosPT contains no third-party SDKs and makes no network requests of its own.

Microphone and speech recognition

Two sections of the app can use your microphone, and only when you choose them:

• Pronounce mode records you so you can play your attempt back and compare it with the app's voice. On iOS the recording is written to a temporary file and replaced or deleted as you re-record or clear it. It is never uploaded.
• Automatic scoring in "See First" mode transcribes what you said so the app can check it against the expected answer.

Transcription uses the speech recognition built into your operating system, not a service of ours:

• On iOS, the app asks for on-device recognition whenever your device supports it, so the audio does not leave the phone. If your device or language does not support on-device recognition, Apple's Speech framework may process the audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy.
• On Android, the system SpeechRecognizer is used. Depending on your device, your Android version and which recognition service is installed, audio may be processed by Google under Google's privacy policy. Android's own settings control which recognition service handles it.

Speech synthesis (the app reading numbers aloud) is likewise handled by your operating system's built-in text-to-speech.

You can decline the microphone permission and still use every section of the app — only recording and automatic scoring become unavailable, and manual self-grading takes their place.

Notifications

The daily practice reminder is off by default. If you turn it on, the reminder is scheduled locally by your device; nothing is sent through a push server, and we are not told whether it fired or whether you acted on it. You can turn it off in the app, or in your system settings, at any time.

Purchases

The beta contains no in-app purchases and nothing to pay for.

Children

NúmerosPT is a general-audience language-learning tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
